Pent (NYC) employs razor-sharp digital synthesis and a displaced rhythmic syntax to craft alien, yet subtly emotive, compositions. Her work has been aptly described as “…a keen exploration of im/possible physics.” Her most recent release is Trepidation Cycles on 3XL. Drumloop, also based in New York City, weaves together language, piano, and digital synthesis to create evocative and entrancing sonic universes. Her practice seeks to compound the corresponding passageways between memory, time, and space. Drumloop’s most recent LP Limiting Mindset was put out on the Psychic Liberation label. -@pat_gall
